He was born in 1966 in Delhi.
Vimal Chand was awarded an MFA in paintings by Jamia Milia Islamia university, New Delhi in 1993.
He took part in Yuva Mahotsav , New Delhi (1989-1995) , All India Finearts and Crafts Society’s annual exhibition (1992,1995 and 1997) and the United Art Fair in New Delhi in 2012.
