Born in 1964 in Nalgonda District of Andhra Pradesh, Laxman Aelay obtained his BFA in Painting from JNTU College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad. The artist is the recipient of several awards and gold medals for his works.
Aelay’s recent solo shows include ‘The River Underneath’, India Fine Art, Mumbai, 2008; ‘Moods and Colours’, Fidaa Art Gallery, Singapore, 2006, and ‘Song of the Village’, Apparao Galleries, Chennai, 2005.
